Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Thursday affirmed that the

He noted these reforms must continue and said he hopes that —
as soon as the new Congress is installed— the agenda will be resumed, which will enable Parliament to work willingly and transparently for the benefit of the entire population.
"We must listen to the demands of those who feel that the institutions do not represent them properly,
those who are tired of corruption and see how the political and economic elites talk to each other, regardless of what happens to the ordinary citizens," the top official stated.
The President also said the social market economy has led to important advances over recent decades in Peru, such as poverty reduction; provision of education and health services; infrastructure gap reduction; and respect for human rights, among others.
Upon arrival, the top official was welcomed by CADE 2019 Chairman Luis Estrada and Peruvian Institute of Business Administration (IPAE) Chairwoman Elena Conterno.
