62% of Peruvians say fight against corruption should be next Congress' priority

62% of Peruvians say that fight against corruption should be lawmakers' priority for new Congress, according to Ipsos Peru survey published by El Comercio newspaper.

According to the study, the second most important issue of concern should be citizen security (57%), followed by education (55%) and health (48%).

Respondents said that other issues that should be given priority attention are the justice system reform (20%), the labor reform (19%), the mining law (17%), and the political reform (15%).

Other priority topics include social conflicts (14%), dissolution of previous Congress (10%), and the Agrarian Promotion Law (7%). Only 1% of those polled chose the "Others" response option.
