The film "Casadentro," directed by Peruvian filmmaker Joanna Lombardi, earned two awards at the World Film Festival in Montreal, Canada.
Casadentro was awarded with the FIPRESCI Prize, an independent award handed out by the International Federation of Film Critics, and the Golden Zenith for the Best First Fiction Feature films.
The film tells the story of how the peaceful life of an 88-year old woman, who lives in a country house in Peru, is forced to change when her family arrives.
Joanna Lombardi, daughter of director Francisco Lombardi, has worked with his father in his recent projects.
Casadentro was filmed in Chosica, 40 kilometers east of Lima, and the cast includes Elide Brero, Delfina Paredes, Grapa Paola, Stephanie Orue and Anneliese Fiedler.
