"It is necessary to understand that united we will achieve everything, disunited nothing," Mr. Castillo said, noting that Peru will maintain diplomatic relations with all countries of Latin America and the rest of the world without any discrimination.

After the summit, the Peruvian leader met with Bolivian counterpart Luis Arce, with whom he agreed to hold a Binational Cabinet this year.

In his speech before the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS), President Castillo affirmed that his Government is committed to ending inequality and the scourge of corruption.

The President of the Republic affirmed that he brought the voice and feeling of the most vulnerable peoples in Peru, in addition to reaffirming the democratic and cooperation spirit among countries in the region. Besides, he reiterated his call for the integration of Latin America.

Moreover, in his address to a group of entrepreneurs in the United States, Mr. Castillo stated that Peru has the doors open for them. Thus, he asked them to invest in the country confidently and without doubt, but with clear rules and respecting the rights of Peruvians.

In this sense, he revealed that a group of U.S. entrepreneurs will arrive in Peru in the coming weeks to encourage investments in different regions across the country, in order to revive the economy and end inequalities.

The top official affirmed that Peru will be an active and dynamic member in the common task so that all countries can rely on inclusive, equitable, and non-discriminatory access to all diagnoses, therapies, medicines, and vaccines against the virus.

Furthermore, he stressed that Peru is committed to the global strategy in the fight against terrorism —a scourge he condemned and rejected.
