00:00 | Pataz (La Libertad region), Dec. 29.

President Martin Vizcarra on Friday reaffirmed his commitment to implementing projects in favor of the Inca country's regions, which will enable local, regional, and national road interconnection.

According to the Head of State, his administration works non-stop on the development of important investment projects throughout the national territory and aimed at improving Peruvians' quality of life

"We commit, once again, to continue working for your benefit until July 28, 2021. That day, I will hand over the presidency (…)," the top official expressed.

Furthermore, he urged newly-elected regional and municipal authorities to work honestly and fight corruption in all its forms, as it generates losses worth S/10 billion (US$2.962 billion).

In this sense, the statesman confirmed his willingness to support the new officials —whose terms in office will start on January 1.

He also asked them to work for the Inca country's citizens by executing drinking water, sewage, rural electrification, education, as well as health projects that lead towards development and progress

Remarks were made during the inauguration of Raimondi Bridge, which is 150 meters long and will facilitate integration, as well as trade between La Libertad and Ancash regions.
