President Dina Boluarte on Monday reaffirmed Peru's commitment to continue working intensively for its accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), in a meeting with its Secretary-General, Mathias Cormann.

During the meeting, held in France, the dignitaries evaluated cooperation in matters of sustainable development, social inclusion, and ocean governance.

The top official also formally deposited the Multilateral Instrument (MLI), the Presidential Office reported via social media.

The Head of State is carrying out a working agenda in France, which included her participation in the plenary session of the Third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3).

The OECD invited Peru to begin the accession process, after which our country submitted its initial memorandum, thereby formally starting its entry into this organization.

The OECD is an international organization whose objective is to promote policies that support prosperity, equality, opportunity, and well-being for all people.
