Plot

"Retablo" is a Peruvian dramatic film, released in 2017 at the Lima Film Festival. The film focuses on Segundo (Junior Bejar Roca), an Ayacucho born-teenager, and his father Noe, who mentors him in the retablo's universe by sharing his knowledge so that he can carry on the family legacy. During a trip to sell his products, a secret is discovered that will shatter the family's life.

It is worth remembering that "Retablo" won two prizes at the Golden Rooster Awards, China's most prestigious film festival.

Also, Alvaro Delgado-Aparicio was granted a Golden Rooster for Best Director, and Junior Bejar Roca won the Best Actor award, both in the international film category.

The Peruvian film starring Magaly Solier and Amiel Cayo has been chosen for the 2020 Oscars and the Goya awards.
