The President of the Republic, Jose Maria Balcazar, said Tuesday that his government is carrying out a program of works without much noise or fanfare, but with inclusion of Peru's southern, northern, and central regions.

The Head of State said his administration is fully convinced that it is not possible to govern without inclusion, a task it is carrying out through public works whose execution will also rely on the Armed Forces’ support and collaboration.

"Democracy, when it is inclusive, allows development," he emphasized.

The President made these remarks during the presentation ceremony of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy.

At this event, he highlighted the importance of technological advances for human well-being and equal opportunities.

The top official said that knowledge was once a privilege, but now, thanks to the internet and mobile phones, people can stay up to date with information.

The Head of State stressed that AI will not replace human intelligence, but it constitutes an extraordinary tool for development.

Cabinet Chief Luis Arroyo and the Secretary of Government and Digital Transformation of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Ricardo Zapata were also present at this event held at the Government Palace in Lima.
