The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, participated on Monday in the national flag-raising ceremony at the Parochial Educational Institution San Antonio de Padua in Lima's Jesus Maria district, where he completed primary and secondary studies.

Following a brief religious ceremony, the flag was hoisted and the National Anthem sung.

The event included the participation of school students, teachers, and administrative staff.

Afterwards, the Head of State delivered a brief speech in which he expressed his delight at returning to his school and seeing its development.

Likewise, the top official encouraged the students to be guided by their teachers.

"We must enjoy these moments, know how to learn, and be guided by good advice. I have always said it: it is a joy to return home, and now you have a person in charge of the country, a President of the Republic, who was educated here," he expressed.

The Head of State also urged students to continue leaving a legacy for their school and their community.

"There is always scope for improvement. As long as there is the will to do so and people are aligned with the goals, anything can be achieved," he added.
