The
on Thursday urged regional governors and mayors to work for the development of their regions and provinces, executing the budget transferred by the Executive Branch.
Afterwards, the Head of State indicated that the Government is planning the agenda for each region. Similarly, the top official indicated that she held a meeting with Loreto Region Governor Jorge Chavez Silvano to assess the needs of this Peruvian area.
"We will continue working within this framework, as long as mayors and governors start to execute the funds that are being transferred to them (provinces and regions)," she said.
In this sense, Mrs. Boluarte reminded citizens that
March 7 will mark the third month of her presidential administration. During that time —she said— the
Con Punche Peru Plan has already been boosted,
having injected around S/15 billion (about US$3.969 billion).
"We ask the population, mayors, and governors to work with the same impetus, the same desire so that, at the end of their terms in office, they can say: mission accomplished, this was fulfilled. From the Executive Branch we will provide them with all the necessary support, better hospitals, schools, bridges, highways, water and drainage (services) for households," she expressed.
The President also explained that the purpose of the Government's action is to meet the population's needs as quickly as possible.
"To the brothers (and sisters) of Loreto, (we say,) have faith that this Government works hand-in-hand with you, and we will attend to you directly," she emphasized.
In this regard, the Head of State specified that ministers have been ordered to meet with mayors and regional governors directly while "avoiding walking the dark path of corruption."
