Peru: President Boluarte participates in PIAS river sailing event

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte participated in the ceremony marking the sailing of the fluvial Itinerant Social Action Platform (PIAS) campaigns' first stage in northeastern Loreto region on Thursday.

The ceremony was held at the Navy Industrial Services (SIMA) facilities in the rainforest city of Iquitos.

Earlier today, the Head of State arrived in the area joined by Defense Minister Jorge Chavez Cresta and Peruvian Navy senior officials.

The fluvial Itinerant Social Action Platforms (PIAS) aim to grant access to the populations of remote areas to various services offered by the Peruvian State, as well as to provide them with medical care.
