Peru: Gov't sends over 61 tons of humanitarian aid to landslide-affected Arequipa

The Executive Branch has transported more than 61 tons of humanitarian aid to Arequipa region by air and land to assist those affected by heavy rains in Camana Province.

Via Twitter, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) on Tuesday reported that tents, mattresses, folding beds, food, blankets, 250 kg of medicines, among other supplies, have been sent to the southern area.

In addition to sending said aid, 10 Health Ministry (Minsa) professionals and 7 National Civil Defense Institute (Indeci) technicians have also traveled to assist the citizens affected by landslides.

"We join efforts to assist those who need us the most," the PCM expressed on Twitter.


Earlier today, the Head of State led the transfer of 4.5 tons of humanitarian aid to the southern region.
