Peru: Gov't starts delivery of over 4 tons of humanitarian aid to Arequipa

The Peruvian Government has started the delivery of 4.5 tons of humanitarian aid to the area affected by the landslides in Arequipa region.



This is part of the more than 61 tons of humanitarian aid intended for 1,280 people affected by the landslides, the Ministry of Defense (Mindef) said via Twitter.

A team of 10 Health Ministry (Minsa) professionals, who carry 250 kg of medicines, and 7 Indeci technicians is also heading to the area to assist those affected.

The personnel and humanitarian aid will be transported in three aircraft belonging to the Peruvian Air Force (FAP).
