A total of 54 factitious volumes of
El Peruano Official Gazette released between the second half of 1868 and 1900, owned by Editora Peru —a State company that runs El Peruano and Andina news agency— have been declared Cultural Heritage of the Nation by the Peruvian
Ministry of Culture.
Moreover, the document indicates that they (the volumes) meet the conditions to be part of the Cultural Heritage of the Nation. Therefore, their declaration and subsequent entry into the National Registry of Bibliographic Material is proposed.
These volumes constitute an invaluable source of reference to know and understand the history of Peru, which demonstrates their importance, value, and meaning for their declaration.
The regulation provides for the publication of this resolution in the El Peruano Official Gazette.
Said resolution and its annex are published on the digital portal of the Ministry of Culture (www.gob.pe/cultura), on the same day as the resolution is published in El Peruano Official Gazette.
