Peru's President: Elections board is only institution entitled to define electoral results

The President of the Republic Francisco Sagasti on Tuesday affirmed that the National Election Board (JNE) is the only entity with the power to define electoral results in Peru.

Know how to lose, know how to win

Concerning the remarks about knowing how to win and lose —which he gave the day before during the farewell of the delegation that will participate in the Tokyo Olympic Games— the statesman indicated that these are teachings given by athletes.

The teachings —such as those provided by the national soccer team at the 2021 Copa America tournament— are examples to be put into practice in different aspects of life —both in sport competitions and of any other nature.

"That was the only meaning my words had," he pointed out.
