Peruvian Ambassador presents credential letters to U.S. President Biden

Peruvian diplomat Oswaldo de Rivero has presented to U.S. President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. the letters that accredit him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Peru to the United States of America.


Similarly, the Ambassador reaffirmed the objectives of the Peruvian Government such as: the fight against poverty and social inequality; improvement of health and education; and promotion of economic development under an environmental sustainability approach.

 


President Biden also expressed to the Peruvian Government and to the Ambassador his special wish to work together in order to promote the common agenda, as well as develop close economic, political, and cultural ties between both countries.


At present, they share an unprecedented agenda in which priority issues converge, such as the construction of an effective democracy which leads to more prosperous and fair societies, economic development promotion, defense of democratic institutions, fight against climate change, and environment protection.
