Peru's President: Government reaffirms fraternal relationship with U.S.

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Thursday highlighted the meeting recently held with United States Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman to whom he reaffirmed the fraternal relationship existing between both nations.

Similarly, the Head of State guaranteed legal certainty to carry out sustainable investments.

"Together we will achieve equitable, inclusive, and sustainable growth for all Peruvians," he expressed on Twitter.


Earlier today, the top official met virtually with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Sherman, with whom he exchanged views on the bilateral relationship and joint actions to continue strengthening it.

At the event, the U.S. senior official invited the Peruvian Head of State to the Summit for Democracy promoted by the North American country. It will be held on December 10, 2021.

Moreover, the President expressed Peru's interest in becoming part of the Build Back Better World (B3W) initiative, which seeks to meet the world's great infrastructure needs.
