Although “Latin American Idol” judges had some criticisms to make of her last performance, young Peruvian singer Sandra Muentes continues to compete in the international reality show.

17-year-old Sandra Muente was very nervous during yesterday’s show because she thought she would be disqualified from the contest.

Sandra Muente, the only Peruvian representative during this season of Latin American Idol after Nicole Pillman’s elimination, could not hold her tears when she knew she had qualified for the next round of the show.

As in other editions of Latin American Idol, finalists are chosen by the audience, which can vote for the participant of their choice by dialing 43657 and sending a text message with the singer's name.

The show can be seen in Lima on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. on channel 15 (Cable Magico) or on channel 210 (DirecTV).
