The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Thursday urged former Junin Region Governor Vladimir Cerron to submit himself to justice.

"Mr. (Vladimir) Cerron is missing. The Ministry of Interior, in coordination with the Judiciary, is after Mr. Cerron. I would rather tell him that those who must be accountable to justice should turn themselves in," she stated.

Likewise, the Head of State spoke about the case of former Minister Juan Silva, who is said to be in Venezuela, noting that the Peruvian National Police (PNP) "must provide a response as soon as possible."

"People must turn themselves in. This is what they must do, they must face the consequences of their actions and file the corresponding appeals, but first they must turn themselves in. We hope for news soon," she expressed.

Remarks were made during the delivery of homes to families affected by Cyclone Yaku earlier this year —within the framework of Valle Grande III Housing Project in Lima's Carabayllo district.
