The Sixth National Preparatory Investigation Court on Monday evening revoked an appearance with restrictions order and issued 36-month preventive detention against Vladimir Cerron.
The decision comes in the investigation into the Peru Libre (Free Peru) party founder over alleged illegal contributions to electoral campaigns.
According to the Judiciary, Cerron had failed to comply with up to four rules of conduct previously ordered in the proceedings against him on the charges of criminal organization and money laundering.
In this sense, the former Junin region governor had not complied with the rule of appearing every 30 days at the biometric control registry office.
Cerron had not complied with neither reporting on his activities monthly nor leaving the area where he resides with prior judicial authorization.
In addition, Vladimir Cerron had the obligation to attend, whenever summoned, hearings by the Public Ministry and the Judiciary.
