Peruvian Prime Minister Walter Martos on Thursday participated in the ceremony for the delivery of 1,320 oxygen cylinders donated to the Ministry of Health (Minsa) by the National Confederation of Private Business Institutions (Confiep).

The Cabinet chief thanked the companies associated with Confiep for their solidarity in the fight against the pandemic.

"We are receiving this important element that will make it possible to remedy the need for oxygen in regions," Martos expressed.

The high-ranking official stressed that in a war —like the one fought against the new coronavirus— there are no sectors. Thus, he argued that all Peruvians must stand united to face the pandemic.

"Private companies and the Government, at its different levels, are going to work in a coordinated and timely manner. Peru needs us," he expressed.

At the event, Prime Minister Martos was joined by Health Minister Pilar Mazzetti and Confiep Chairwoman Maria Isabel Leon.
