Peru will send more than 114 athletes to this year's Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, surpassing the number of participants it sent to the 1987 Indianapolis Games.
The Peruvian athletes will compete in several sports including athletics, badminton, boxing, gymnastics, swimming, table tennis and shooting.
Also in water skiing, karate, weightlifting, wrestling, taekwondo, sailing, rowing, squash, tennis, triathlon, volleyball, judo, handball, bowling and basque pelota.
The 2011 Pan American Games will be held Oct. 14-30 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México. This will be the largest multi-sport event ever held in Mexico outside the capital city.
