Peru: President Jeri leads 9th Regional State Council in Huanuco

The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, on Tuesday headed the 9th Regional State Council in Huanuco region, where he arrived this morning on his first trip as Head of State.

According to the announcement made by the top official last Monday, this visit marked the start of a three-month tour to various Peruvian regions, aimed at understanding their main needs.

Also in Huanuco were Cabinet Chief Ernesto Alvarez and ministers from various portfolios, who participated in the 9th Regional State Council as well.

It is a high-level political and technical dialogue forum between the National Government and regional governments, aimed at coordinating actions and promoting effective governance for the benefit of citizens.


Flag-raising ceremony

As part of his activities in Huanuco, President Jeri led the flag-raising ceremony at Leoncio Prado School.

There, the Head of State told students that his government supports them as the country's future.

"A government that understands the importance of education, respect, as well as love for national symbols and the anthem is a country destined for greatness," he said in his speech.

After expressing his confidence in this new generation of Peruvians and what they will achieve for the country, he stated that the Executive Branch will continue to put forth all its effort so that the nation moves forward, "and moves forward well."
