Eric Anderson Machado was appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs through a resolution published Thursday in the Legal Regulations section of the Official Gazette El Peruano.

Supreme Resolution No. 093-2026-RE states that his appointment as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs will take effect on June 13, 2026.

The resolution bears the signature of President Jose Maria Balcazar and is countersigned by Foreign Affairs Minister Carlos Pareja.

Anderson Machado currently serves as Secretary-General of the Foreign Affairs Ministry. As a result, a separate resolution was issued to terminate his appointment to that position.

In addition, another supreme resolution ended Ambassador Felix Denegri's tenure as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs effective June 12. Thus, the Government thanked him for his valuable services to the Nation.

Through a separate resolution, the Foreign Affairs Ministry ordered Denegri's retirement effective June 13, as he will reach the mandatory retirement age of 70 on that date.
