The City of Cusco received the fourth batch of vaccines against COVID-19, consisting of a total of 8,260 doses to immunize the remaining health personnel.

Following arrival at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, the personnel in charge and the Armed Forces carried out the transfer of the batch under strict security measures.

Regional Health Management (Geresa Cusco) Director Tania Saldivar reminded reporters that the second dose is administered 21 days after the first one.

On the other hand, the vaccination phases have been modified.

Meanwhile, planning is being carried out to vaccinate older adults, as well as members of the Police and Army.

The batch is kept in refrigeration chambers (between 2 and 8 Celsius degrees) and under other necessary conditions.

It must be noted that this batch is being constantly monitored through technological equipment.

Finally, the Regional Health Management Office (Geresa Cusco) urges the population to continue complying with biosafety measures to prevent an increase in COVID-19 cases.
