Peru: Authorization for presidential trip to New York made official

The Congress of the Republic published Legislative Resolution No. 31871, which authorizes the President of the Republic Dina Boluarte to leave the national territory from September 17 to 21, 2023, so as to participate in the main activities of the High-level Week of the 78th Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

The document, which permits the departure of the top official, was published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on Wednesday.


The President of the Republic will remain in charge of the Presidential Office using digital technologies —within the framework of the provisions of Article 8-A of Law No. 29158 (Organic Law of the Executive Branch) introduced by virtue of Law No. 31810, as well as the current regulations regarding digital security and trust in Peru.

The Congress of the Republic authorizes the departure, in accordance with the provisions of subparagraph 9 of Article 102 and subparagraph 4 of Article 113 of the Political Constitution of Peru; on literal j of subparagraph 1 of Article 76 of Congress Regulations and the current rules.
