Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday reported that he will send a formal communication to Congress Chairman Manuel Merino tomorrow so that he can be summoned this week to face the second presidential impeachment recently approved for debate by Parliament.

"Tomorrow, first thing in the morning, I am going to send a cordial communication to the chairman of Congress requesting him to set a date for this week, thus ending the uncertainty and continuing to work with Congress as we have been doing together for the sake of Peru," he expressed.

"That is why we cannot have long periods of uncertainty. Thus, I asked Congress, from Chiclayo, to reschedule the session for this week," he insisted.

"I am willing to go to Congress as I am holding my head high, and I never run away. Therefore, I will be present (at the session)," he said after referring that confrontation does not allow his administration to develop the works needed to generate development nationwide.
