The Peruvian Government will make efforts to lower the price of gas as soon as possible, the
"Let's make an effort so that people's pots are not empty. We are going to make an effort so that the price of gas goes down," he said, adding that this task will also include the price of products such as bread and oil.
According to the Head of State, monopolies will not be allowed to do what they want.
"You have a Government that is not going to steal a penny from the people," he emphasized.
"We cannot fight one another while at the top of mountains citizens lack water services. Besides, people are dying in hospitals, and work is needed," he added.
At the site, Mr. Castillo pointed out the need to address major problems of neighborhoods, such as the lack of drinking water, schools, and hospitals.
"I appreciate the efforts made by authorities, regardless of their political parties, because Peru comes first, above anything else," he concluded.
