The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Friday afternoon oversaw the startup of works linked to Nueva Rinconada Potable Water and Sewerage Project, considered the largest in the country's history and developed by Sedapal (the State-run water company).

This work entails an investment of almost S/1.2 billion (about US$291 million) and will benefit more than 416,000 residents of the following districts: San Juan de Miraflores, Villa El Salvador, and Villa Maria del Triunfo —in southern Lima.

The event was held at Virgen Lourdes Municipal Stadium in Villa Maria del Triunfo.
