Peru's President attends opening of 2023 at Attorney General's Office

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Wednesday morning participated in the ceremony marking the opening of 2023 at the headquarters of the Public Ministry.

The Head of State arrived at the Attorney General's Office building, located on Abancay Avenue in downtown Lima, a few minutes before 10:00 a.m. (local time).

The ceremony was also attended by Congress Chairman Jose Williams Zapata and Judiciary Chair Javier Arevalo Vela, among other authorities.

Thus, the country's top official completed the second activity scheduled on her agenda.

Earlier today, she oversaw the installation of the Crisis Monitoring and Control Center of the Ministry of Defense.

Likewise, she gave a series of interviews to various media outlets from the capital city and regions across the country.

On Tuesday, Mrs. Boluarte took part in the ceremony marking the Opening of the Judicial Year 2023 and the inauguration of Javier Arevalo Vela as head of the Supreme Court of Justice and the Judicial Branch for the 2023-2024 period.

In her speech, she reiterated her commitment to promoting joint actions within her administration to consolidate a justice system that meets the expectations of all Peruvians.

As is known, Mrs. Boluarte officially became President of the Republic on December 7, 2022, after

ex-President Pedro Castillo was constitutionally impeached and removed from office by Parliament.
