President of the Republic Dina Boluarte has arrived at Parliament headquarters to deliver her Address to the Nation on the occasion of Peru's 202nd Independence Day Anniversary.
Upon arrival, the Head of State was welcomed with high honors by the Armed Forces.

Liberator Jose de San Martin proclaimed the independence of Peru from Spain on July 28, 1821.
Thus, this day serves to commemorate the nation's independence.
The independence process successfully came to an end with the Battle of Ayacucho in December 1824.
