In his speech, the Commander-in-Chief ruled out the statements made by people who insist the Government cannot fight this scourge and
generate development at the same time.
"No, sir. Both things can be done simultaneously (…). That is what the people want, and that is what we will do," he added.
"When people
work honestly —
without corruption— roads, hospitals, and schools can be built. We will do all that, and we continue working every day," the Head of State said.
"(…) You can be sure your President will be at the front and right next to you in order to create development works," the top official concluded.
Remarks were made during Dos de Mayo Province's (Huanuco region) 148-anniversary ceremony.
