Peru, a land of stunning geography, remarkable uniqueness, and extraordinary diversity, continues to attract travelers from around the globe, especially those seeking unforgettable adventure experiences.
That’s why, Peru has been nominated for World’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination 2025 at the World Travel Awards, widely known as the Tourism Oscars, which honor excellence across the global travel and hospitality industry.
Peru aims to claim this title for the first time, competing against Australia, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Japan, Madagascar, New Zealand, Ras Al Khaimah, Saint Lucia, Thailand, and the United States.
Since the category’s creation in 2016, the winners have been Chile (six consecutive years, 2016–2021), Costa Rica (2022), and Portugal (2023 and 2024).

At the World Travel Awards, Peru has been recognized 12 times as World’s Leading Culinary Destination (2012–2019, 2021–2024) and six times as World’s Leading Cultural Destination (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024).
Machu Picchu has won World’s Leading Tourist Attraction on six occasions (2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2024), while Lima earned the title of World’s Leading Heritage City Destination in 2023.

official website and following the instructions provided.
Awards ceremony
Winners of this prestigious global competition will be announced at a special gala ceremony to be held in Bahrain on December 6, 2025.
