The President of the Republic of Peru, Jose Jeri Ore, held a working meeting with various business associations to promote the elimination of bureaucratic barriers and, in this way, strengthen the business climate and encourage a greater flow of private investment in the country.
During the meeting, held yesterday at the Government Palace, the President emphasized that this will be the first in a series of meetings he and his technical team will hold with business associations to make coordinated progress in reducing bureaucratic obstacles.
The central theme of this first meeting was the improvement of municipal regulations to optimize oversight processes in shopping centers and thus facilitate the development of formal economic activities.
In this context, representatives of the trade associations appreciated the president's openness to dialogue and acknowledged his political will to understand firsthand the difficulties the private sector faces in developing investments in the country.

Representatives from the Peruvian Foreign Trade Society (ComexPerú), the National Confederation of Merchants (CONACO), the Peruvian Hardware Chamber, the National Society of Industries (SNI), the Peruvian Association of Shopping and Entertainment Centers (ACCEP), the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), and the association of micro and small enterprises (MSEs) Unidas del Perú participated in the meeting.
Also present were representatives from the Peruvian Association of Small Shopkeepers, the Peruvian Association of Beauty Entrepreneurs (APEB), the Peruvian Association of Gamarra Business Owners, the Union of Restaurant Associations of Peru, the Association of Bakeries and Pastry Shops (ASPAN), the Mesa Redonda Chamber of Commerce, and others.
