Three cacao producers from Cusco and Junín regions won three medals at the
, held within the framework of the Chocoa Fair, the most important in this sphere in Europe by bringing together all those involved in cacao's value chain, the
Carmen Montes Taipe, who represented "Asociacion de Productores Agropecuarios Valle Nazangaro de Vizcatan del Ene (VRAEM)" from the city of Satipo, Junin region; and Liliana Laura Villa of "The Chocolate Farmer" from Pichari district, Cusco region, won gold medals.
Meanwhile, Jose Luis Perez Figueroa from "Agroindustrias Conveca" in Echarati district, Cusco region, claimed a bronze medal.
Peruvian Producers received these awards in the South America category, along with their peers from Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Venezuela.

Cacao of Excellence Awards —considered one of the most prestigious awards around the world—
recognize exceptional cacao producers for the superior quality and diversity of cacao flavors from every corner of the world.
The Technical Committee's evaluation of samples led to the selection of the top 50 nominees eligible for the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards.
The nominated samples were transformed into chocolate and evaluated by a jury composed of 32 experts from various professions, including chocolatiers, sensory evaluation experts, and bean suppliers.
The Chocoa fair takes place in Amsterdam from February 7 to 11.
Seven Peruvian companies are participating in it supported by PromPeru's Trade Office in Rotterdam.
