Peru's President to meet with U.S. State Secretary on Oct 6

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo will hold a working meeting with United States Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken on October 6 —within the framework of the 52nd General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) to take place in Lima from October 5 to 7.

Among the objectives of this meeting are the strengthening of democracy, cooperation to reduce social gaps, and the fight against transnational organized crime.

Similarly, they include the dynamization of the economic-trade relationship and the joint efforts to combat global warming, among other issues, the Press Secretariat of the Government Palace has announced.

The event will be held at the Government Palace in Lima, and will also see the participation of Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Cesar Landa.

This meeting with the U.S. State Secretary is a priority for Peru due to the importance of the issues on the bilateral agenda governed by principles, values, and essential cooperation in various spheres for both nations.
