Peru's PM: Transfer makes progress, information must be reviewed

Peruvian Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez affirmed that the Transition and Emergency Government has fulfilled its tasks within the framework of the public administration transfer process and will continue to provide the incoming government with the information it may require.

"It is important that they carry out a general review before the new ministers are sworn in," the high-ranking official told RPP TV and radio station.

In this sense, the Executive Branch has informed about the current situation of the sectors that are part of the Government.

"This review is not very complex," she said.

Likewise, the Cabinet chief mentioned that she had held a very cordial and productive meeting with Vice President-elect Dina Boluarte, highlighting that the teams in charge of the review were created within 24 hours.

In addition, the Prime Minister stated that if a Constituent Assembly is convened, the article that establishes how the Constitution is modified should be reformed by Parliament.
