Prime Minister Mirtha Vasquez on Friday affirmed that the Government currently undertakes multiple efforts in a comprehensive manner so that boys and girls can safely return to school in 2022.

The high-ranking official participated this morning in the opening of the meeting hosting Education Ministry officials and regional education directors to coordinate a safe return to face-to-face classes.

In this regard, the Cabinet chief affirmed that they are working very hard with Education Minister Rosendo Serna, who leads the entire strategy to ensure that boys and girls can safely return to classes, "which is the great goal that the Government has set for this year."

Likewise, the government's spokeswoman said the Government will ensure that the sector meets the objective of recovering learning and providing high-quality education to students.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister stressed that the strategy being worked on is quite comprehensive and consists not only of intersectoral work.

"We have already announced that we have worked with various sectors to meet this objective (...)," Vasquez expressed.

"The strategy must also be (implemented) at a decentralized level, (which means) working with regional governments and territorial players; that is why we are in this meeting today," she highlighted.
