Prime Minister Anibal Torres on Saturday announced that the address to be delivered by
President Pedro Castillo at Congress of the Republic will ask to put aside confrontations between both State powers.
"The important announcement is the one we have made at Congress, that we must put an end to these confrontations and start working on the general interest, because there is political uncertainty about events that are said to have occurred, but there is no proof; that only seeks to harm the country," he said in remarks to TVPeru.
Likewise, Torres indicated that this message will be the same as the one delivered every July 28, although this time it comes in the face of the situation arising due to political uncertainty "which is causing us a lot of damage."
"It is necessary for the President to go to Congress and from there deliver an address to the nation about what he has done, about what he plans to do, about the current situation and the huge damage being done to the population in general, because political uncertainty affects economic and social development, as well as it is harmful in all aspects," he added.
The Cabinet chief explained that the people —with their vote— put them in various positions of power to govern for the common interest, but not to fight, look for (presidential) vacancies, or refuse to recognize the victory of the past elections.
