President Dina Boluarte spoke with mothers in charge of soup kitchens and community kitchens at the Government Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.

The leaders spoke with the Head of State about the opportunities for economic inclusion offered by the "Mi Emprendimiento Mujer" (My Female Entrepreneurship) program.

The event also featured the participation of Leslie Urteaga, head of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion, to which the program belongs.

"This initiative strengthens and develops their entrepreneurial skills, encouraging them to create and manage their own businesses. More autonomy, more opportunities, more development!" the Presidential Office reported via social media on Wednesday evening.

"Mi Emprendimiento Mujer" aims to improve the economic situation of women who are part of soup kitchens and community kitchens, providing them with tools to develop various lines of business, such as restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, among other ventures.

In 2023 and 2024, the program generated economic opportunities for 800 households in Lima's Comas, San Juan de Miraflores, San Juan de Lurigancho, and Villa Maria del Triunfo districts, through the implementation of these small businesses.
