Within the framework of the appointment of the new education minister, the
President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Wednesday reaffirmed his Government's commitment to optimizing educational infrastructure across the country in order to ensure in-person learning at schools starting April next year.
In addition, the Head of State called on parents, farming community patrollers, and teachers to join forces so that all educational institutions located in the whole national territory can be in optimal conditions to receive students.
"It cannot be possible that our students have been separated from their teachers for more than two years. We need
in-person learning; and, to that end, we are going to deploy our ministers all over the country so that their sectors can provide the necessary support to achieve this fundamental objective," he emphasized.
On the other hand, the country's top official called on political parties with representation in Congress to go to the Government Palace today to work together on a country-driven agenda basis.
"I call on political parties participating in partisan and parliamentary life, those with representation in Congress. I hope you will come to the Government Palace tonight to speak a single language, to set up the country-driven agenda, the agenda of Peru," he expressed.
In addition, Mr. Castillo affirmed that his Government will intensify efforts to speed up the massive use of the Camisea natural gas, with the aim of enhancing access to low-cost energy and thereby improving the quality of life of more Peruvians.
Remarks were made during his participation in the ceremony marking the 45th anniversary of farming community patrols of Cuyumalca and Peru.
