announced Monday that his administration will be one of extensive dialogue, not only with political forces but also with social organizations and various sectors of Peru.
These remarks were made at a press conference held at Popular Force Party headquarters in Lima after President-elect Keiko Fujimori announced his appointment as the next President of the Council of Ministers (Prime Minister).
"Dialogue will not only be with political forces but also with all the country's active social forces, as well as the business sector, the labor sector, and workers. In other words, we will be a Government of extensive dialogue," he stated.
In that regard, Galarreta said they have been holding talks with political forces and reiterated that there is already a considerable degree of dialogue and discussion.
Regarding the priority measures to tackle insecurity and El Niño phenomenon in Peru, he said they have already held meetings with the incoming ministers of the Interior, Defense, Housing, Economy and Finance, as well as Transportation and Communications.
"On July 29, before the parade (Grand Civic-Military Parade), we will hold the first Council of Ministers meeting. Several supreme decrees are already being prepared, and we are already working on the request for delegated legislative powers," Galarreta indicated.
Moreover, the incoming Cabinet chief said some of the promises set out in the government plan will be implemented during the administration's first 100 days.
"Please be patient and wait for the first Council of Ministers meeting. But be assured that we have been meeting for weeks so that, from day one, we can begin taking all the actions we must take, just as the President of the Republic has done," he added.
