Peru congratulates People's Republic of China on its National Day

The Government of Peru —via its Ministry of Foreign Affairs— extended its congratulations to the People's Republic of China on the 74th anniversary of its founding and expressed wishes for prosperity.

Moreover, it reaffirmed its willingness to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation, within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

As is known, this year marks 10 years since the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Peru and China.

Last year, trade balance stood at US$36.5 billion, and Peru registered a trade surplus of US$5 billion.

China ranks eighth in terms of foreign investment in Peru, with US$1.1 billion, according to figures released by Peru's Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversion).
