Peru 2026 Elections: JNE to officially proclaim second-round results at noon today

The National Elections Board (JNE) announced that it will officially proclaim this Friday the final results of the 2026 presidential runoff, held on June 7.

The JNE plenary, chaired by Roberto Burneo, will be in charge of officially proclaiming the results of the election in which Peru's new president and vice presidents were chosen.

The public session will take place at 12:00 p.m. (local time) at the electoral body's headquarters in Lima's Jesus Maria district. 

According to the 100% official results of the June 7 vote, Popular Force Party candidate Keiko Fujimori  won with 50.135% of the valid votes.

She was joined on the presidential ticket by Luis Galarreta and Miguel Angel Torres, who ran for first and second vice president, respectively.
