With 100% of electoral records counted by the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE), Popular Force Party candidate Keiko Fujimori secured 50.135% of the vote, while Together for Peru Party candidate Roberto Sanchez received 49.865%.

Given these results, Keiko Fujimori becomes the virtual winner of the presidential runoff held on June 7.

The Popular Force candidate finished first in the election, with 9,223,396 votes, compared with the 9,173,755 garnered by the Together for Peru candidate.

In addition, the election recorded 118,396 blank ballots, accounting for 0.602% of the total, and 1,167,836 invalid ballots, equivalent to 5.933%.

ONPE reported that 100% of the electoral records had been counted following the uninterrupted work of its 126 counting centers.

To complete the count of 100% of the electoral records, ONPE first had to wait for the various Special Electoral Boards to rule on challenged records containing irregularities or inconsistencies requiring review.

A total of 125 Decentralized Electoral Process Offices (ODPEs) processed and counted the electoral records from polling held nationwide.

One ODPE handled the electoral records containing votes cast by Peruvians abroad.

"As a demonstration of transparency, a designated area was made available at each counting center for observers and representatives of political organizations throughout the process, 24 hours a day," the electoral authority said.

To provide updates on the processing and counting of electoral records from the presidential runoff, ONPE made this official platform available.
