The aforementioned event had the objective of presenting the cooperation experiences of Chinese universities and Pacific Alliance countries so as to explore new horizons for cooperation in education in China —in its capacity as an Observer State, a role it assumed in 2013.
For his part, the
Chinese Education Ministry representative pointed out that one of his country's objectives, in its eventual cooperation with the PA, would be to gradually expand student exchange through a scholarship program and the creation of the program called "Young Leaders."
The Chargé d'Affaires at the Peruvian Embassy in China mentioned that it would be important to expand the potential of the already-existing Student and Academic Mobility Platform, whose achievements are found in the regional positioning of the four PA countries as student and academic destinations of quality, as well as important advances in the process of internationalization of higher education through cultural dialogue and exchange of experiences.
This important event also saw the participation of renowned exhibitors representing two of Peru's most prestigious universities: Dr. Adriana Scaletti-Cardenas, Academic Director of Institutional Relations at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru; and Dr. Jose Carlos Feliciano, Deputy Director of the Center for Studies on China and Asia-Pacific at Universidad del Pacifico.

The Pacific Alliance constitutes a regional integration mechanism made up of Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru, through which it seeks to progressively advance towards the free circulation of goods, services, capital, and people.
This is part of a strategy to become a platform for projection to the world, with emphasis on the Asia-Pacific region.
