FA Min: Peru to promote economic improvement, life quality in Pacific Alliance

From the Pro-Tempore Presidency, Peru will boost the economic development and improvement of the life quality of populations in countries that make up said regional bloc, Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi affirmed on Friday.

The objective pursued by these guidelines is to provide response so as to cope with the major challenges of the global situation, the government official expressed.


At the event, Minister Gervasi pointed out that the Peruvian administration, at the helm of this international body, will be guided "by the conviction to rely on a pragmatic and cutting-edge regional integration."

These guidelines are intended to boost economic development and improve the quality of life, she said.


In this sense, Minister Gervasi welcomed the participation at the latest ceremony of the Government representatives of Chile, Colombia, and Mexico, as well as of 
Costa Rica's Foreign Affairs Minister Arnoldo Andre
 and Ecuador's Foreign Trade Minister Daniel Legarda.

The diplomat specified that Costa Rica and Ecuador are interested and in the firm process of joining the Pacific Alliance.
