"We have to move towards a more global Pacific Alliance. In this sense, from the Pro-Tempore Presidency assumed by Peru, we will work on the international outreach (of the bloc) with special emphasis on the Asia-Pacific (region)," Mrs. Boluarte expressed on the occasion.
"Similarly, we will promote the start of the negotiation of a free trade agreement with the Republic of Korea, and we will explore conditions for the resumption of similar negotiations with Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. All these allied and strategic countries are in the Pacific basin," she specified.
"In order to help strengthen the link to Asia-Pacific, we will boost a rapprochement between the two blocs so as to strengthen an exchange of experiences on a common agenda," she indicated.
"The agenda that we have ahead of us in the alliance is wide and varied. I am convinced that by prioritizing substantive and technical work we will be able to fulfill the goals and many other ambitious ones for the well-being of our nations," she pointed out.
