China's Ambassador visits Peru's President-elect Fujimori

The Chinese Ambassador to Peru, Song Yang, visited President-elect Keiko Fujimori to present her with a letter conveying greetings from the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping.

In the missive, the Chinese leader highlighted that both countries maintain a comprehensive strategic partnership.

Likewise, he expressed his willingness to strengthen relations between the two countries.


Within this framework, Xi said he stands ready to work with Fujimori to steer the comprehensive strategic partnership to new heights.

In a congratulatory message, the president said China and Peru are comprehensive strategic partners.

He added that bilateral relations maintain good momentum for development, including frequent high-level exchanges, fruitful practical cooperation in various fields, and people-to-people friendship that enjoys deep public support.

The Chinese leader noted that this year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries.

Xi also said he attaches great importance to the development of China-Peru relations, the State-run Xinhua News Agency reported.
