National Elections Board (JNE) Chairman Roberto Burneo on Friday officially proclaimed Keiko Fujimori as President of the Republic, along with her presidential ticket, for the 2026–2031 term.

"On behalf of the National Elections Board, I officially proclaim Ms. Keiko Sofía Fujimori Higuchi as President of the Republic, along with her ticket, elected by the sovereign will of the people," Burneo said during a solemn ceremony at a JNE venue in Lima.

The electoral body head underscored that today marks the completion of all stages of the 2026 Elections provided for in the legal and constitutional framework.

He stressed that democracy does not end with elections, but rather continues through respect for the results, the continued validity of electoral institutions, and the ability of all Peruvians to build a shared future despite their differences.

"May this act symbolize not only the culmination of an electoral process, but also the beginning of a stage of dialogue, stability, and commitment to Peru," Burneo expressed.

Once he concluded his speech, the JNE plenary members, as well as Popular Force Party's legal representative, Edwin Levano, signed the proclamation act.
